Set a Booking Window


Setting a booking window allows the Ops users to define a specific time frame during which customers can make bookings on the demand site. This window includes a start and end date and can be configured either site-wide or for individual assets (such as specific vehicles). This article covers both configuration options. To enable asset-specific booking windows for your environment, please contact the support team.

Site-wide booking window

  1. Go to the Settings Module and click on the 'Booking Window' submodule.

  1. In the Booking window submodule, click the 'Edit' button.


  1. In the Edit Booking Modal, make changes to the start and end day of the booking period and click 'Save' to register changes.

Note:

When the booking window start is set to '2' and the end to '10', a customer visiting the site today will see available booking dates starting two days from now, with the last available date being ten days from today.


  1. Check the website on any asset's package page to see the changes in the booking window.

Asset-specific Booking Window

The booking window can be set at the asset level, which overrides the site-level booking window set by the Ops user. Please note that this feature is set on the virtual asset.

The steps to set the asset-level booking window are as follows:


  1. Go to the Asset Module, enable the Virtual Assets toggle, and select a virtual asset from the list.

  1. Click on the view button against the asset


  1. Click the Edit button.

  1. Click on the +Add New button to open the Asset properties dropdown.

  1. Choose 'Booking Window - Minimum Start Date' from the list of asset properties and click on it.

  1. Set the value of the asset property and click 'Save'.

  1. Repeat steps 5 & 6 to add "Booking Window - Maximum Start Date.


  1. The newly added asset properties, Booking Window Minimum Start Date and Booking Window Maximum Start Date, are visible in the asset's property section. Click 'Save' to apply these changes


  1. Click OK on the confirmation modal to apply changes.

  1. The green toast notification shows at the bottom of the screen, confirming this change. Check this asset on the website to see the changes in its booking window.
