Swapping a Vehicle
The Ops user can swap an asset for an inprogress booking, immediately. This will send a new contract to the customer with the new register number of the vehicle. This is useful when there is an emergency with the InProgress booking such a vehicle breakdown or if you want to provide a vehicle upgrade with the same terms, price mileage and duration as the previous vehicle.
- Navigate to the Booking Module and choose a booking in the In Progress tab to swap a vehicle.
- Click the Action button to open a dropdown menu, then click 'Swap Asset.'
- In the Swap Asset Modal, search for the replacement asset to swap in the search field.
- Click the Select button against the asset
- Ensure the contract box is checked to send the contract to the customer.
- Click the Confirm Swap button.
- A green confirmation message appears on top of the Swap Asset Modal.
The booking has the new asset registration number of the swapped asset.
Swapping a vehicle doesn't not change the billing cycle date, it continues with the same billing cycle of the original vehicle.
