Allowing Voucher Categories to Be used Together

This article explains how to enable the usage of vouchers belonging to different voucher categories in the Ops system. When voucher categories are configured to work together, Ops users can apply multiple vouchers—such as a fixed discount and a recurring discount—to the same booking. This is particularly useful when using features like Edit Booking Voucher. You’ll also learn how to check whether the voucher categories are currently allowed to be used together and how to update the setting if needed.

The steps are as follows:

  1. Navigate to the Pricing Module and click Voucher.
  2. Click Categories  on the side panel. We can see a list of voucher categories with details such as:
    1. Category Name: Name of the voucher category
    2. Max Uses: Indicates the total number of vouchers that can be created under this voucher category.
    3. Use With Others: Displays a checkmark or a cross icon to indicate whether vouchers from this category are allowed to be used with vouchers from other categories.

⚠️This setting is a key prerequisite for using the Edit Booking Voucher feature, which will be discussed in a separate article

If you attempt to apply two vouchers from different categories, and one of voucher categories shows an ✖️ icon under 'Use With Others', it means the category is not configured to interact with others.

To update this setting:

    1. Click the Action button next to the relevant voucher category.
    2. Select Edit from the dropdown
    3. In the 'Edit Voucher Category' modal, enable the checkbox labelled Can be used with other categories
    4. Click Update.

A toast Notification confirms that the setting has been saved.

The voucher category now has a check mark against it, denoting that it is allowed to interact with other voucher categories
