Adding a customer to Ops

Why add a customer manually to Ops?

While most customers are created automatically when they complete a booking on your website, you can also create customer accounts manually in JRNY Ops.

When a customer is added manually:

  • A customer account is created in the system.
  • The customer receives a password reset email to set up their login credentials.

This allows them to access their account as if they had registered through the website.

When is this useful?

You may need to add a customer manually in the following situations:

  • When booking requests are received offline (via phone, email, or walk-ins)
  • When you want to create a customer account before confirming a booking

(Ensure the customer details are verified before creating a booking request.)

  • When migrating existing customers into JRNY Ops

(For bulk migration of customer records, we recommend contacting support or your                        account manager.)

Adding customers manually gives you the flexibility to manage offline business operations while ensuring all customer records, bookings, billing, and reporting remain centralised in JRNY Ops.

Steps to add a customer

  1. Navigate to the Accounts submodule from the left panel.
  2. Click + Add New at the top of the page to open the registration form.
  3. Ensure the checkbox Create the primary driver (same as account details) is selected. This means the account holder will also be created as a driver.
  4. Complete the required fields in the registration form.
  5. Click Create Account to save the details.

A green notification will appear confirming that the account has been created successfully.
