Creating a booking for an additional driver via Ops
A booking request can be created for an additional driver who will be operating the vehicle. However, the booking will remain under the account holder’s name, not the additional driver’s.
Steps to create a booking for an additional driver
- Navigate to the Bookings Module.
- Click + Add Bookings on the top bar.
- Select the Start Date and time from the small calendar pop-up on the New Booking page and click Apply.
- Click the Search Assets button.
- Click the Select button against an asset from the list of virtual assets.
- Click Next Step to proceed.
- Set Mileage Allowance and Duration from the dropdowns. If applicable, add promocode, then choose extra options. Check the Billing summary on the right to view the consolidated billing basket and click Next Step.
- Search for an existing customer in the search bar or click on + Add New Account to add new customer details in the booking flow.
- If the existing customer account is not approved, click on Approve. Approved customers will have a Select button next to it.
- Click the Select button against the customer account and click Next Step.
- If the customer account has multiple drivers, click Select against the driver for whom the booking will be created, then click Next Step to proceed. If the driver is unverified, click Verify to manually verify it before selecting it.
The selected driver will be the primary driver.
- Pick the handover mode according to customer preference/the option you offer, and click Next Step.
- Click Create Booking on the Create Booking Request Modal.
A green confirmation message appears with the booking reference.
The booking can be seen under the Requested Tab in the name of the Account Holder.
