Converting a lead to a customer

If a customer is unable to complete the booking journey in the showroom or through the website, the Ops user can convert the lead to a customer in JRNY Ops.

There are two types of lead conversions in the system:

Manually Converted Leads

These require action from an Ops user to convert the lead into a customer account.

Auto-converted leads  

These occur when a lead leaves the booking journey but later returns to the website and completes the booking process. In this case, the system automatically converts the lead into a customer account.

This article focuses on manual lead conversion.

Steps to Convert a Lead to a Customer

  1. Navigate to the Leads sub-module.
  2. Click on the All tab and locate the lead you want to convert.
  3. Click the Action button next to the lead.
  4. Select Create customer from the dropdown menu.
  5. A confirmation modal appears. Click OK to confirm the conversion.

A toast notification appears at the bottom of the screen confirming the conversion.

A "Manually Converted" tag will now appear against the lead record.

You can navigate to the Accounts module to view the newly created customer account, where the lead will appear with a "Converted" tag.
