Create a new voucher

Voucher codes allow Ops users to apply promotional discounts to bookings in JRNY Ops. These codes can be used to offer customers special discounts, run marketing promotions, or provide discounts at the time of booking.

Once created, voucher codes can be applied in the following ways:

  • through a booking on the website
  • through a booking on JRNY Ops
  • on an inprogress booking

Steps to create a voucher

  1. Navigate to the Voucher sub-module under the Pricing Module.
  2. Click Code from the left panel.
  3. Click + Add Voucher on the top panel.
  4. Fill out the voucher details in the Add New Voucher Code modal:
    1. Code: The name of the voucher/promo code.
    2. Description: A short description of the purpose of the promo code.
    3. Category: Select a voucher category from the dropdown.
    4. Discount Type: There are two options to choose from to create a discount
      1. Percentage Discount: A discount expressed as a percentage off the total.
      2. Fixed Amount Discount: The Discount is a fixed monetary value
    5. Discount Value: Enter the discount value based on the discount type chosen.
    6. Voucher Type: Choose the voucher type from the following options:
      1. FirstPaymentDiscount - This voucher is applied to the customer's first payment only.
      2. RecurringDiscount - This voucher is applied to recurring payments.
    7. Limit the number of uses: Sets the maximum number of uses allowed for the voucher code by the customer.
    8. Validity period: Set the voucher's start and end dates.
    9. Charge Item for Allocation: Select the charge item to which the voucher will be allocated to.

Click Create after entering these details to register the new voucher.

A green notification appears when the voucher has been created, and the new voucher is visible in the voucher sub-module
