Create a new voucher category
This article explains how to create a voucher category and voucher code in the Ops system. Please note that a voucher category must be created first, as it is a prerequisite for creating any voucher.
Steps to create a voucher category
- Navigate to the Voucher submodule under the Pricing Module.
- Click on Categories
- Click on + Add Category to open the form.
- Fill up the Add New Voucher Category Modal:
- Category Name: Name of the voucher category.
- Set a custom max usage amount: Enabling this toggle activates the Max uses field, where the Ops user can specify the maximum number of vouchers that can be assigned under this category. If left disabled, the category will allow vouchers to be assigned without any limit.
- Allow vouchers in this category to be used with vouchers in other categories: Enabling this option allows vouchers from this category to be combined with vouchers from different categories in a single customer booking. This is important if you want to add additional vouchers to a booking that already has an existing voucher applied (covered in a separate article). If disabled, you will not be able to add vouchers from other categories to the same booking.
- Click Save to register the new category.
A green toast notification confirms that the voucher's category has been saved. The Voucher Category is now visible in the Voucher Category list.
