Creating a Maintenance Booking


Maintenance bookings are dummy bookings that can serve multiple purposes - it prevents assets from being booked during the selected time period.

  1. Go to the Assets Module and click the physical asset tab to display a list of physical assets. Choose the asset for which you want to create a maintenance booking.
Test data is used in all screenshots.

  1. Click on the menu button against the asset.

  1. Click Maintenance Booking. You have two options: Create Single Booking and Create Schedule.

There are two types of maintenance bookings:

(1) Single maintenance bookings for an asset to make it unavailable for a specific duration. (2) Scheduled maintenance bookings that repeat x amount of times a week over a specific time period.


Single Maintenance Booking

  1. Click the "Create single booking" button, select a start and end date, and add notes if applicable.

  1. To view this maintenance booking, go to the Assets Module, locate the asset against which we have created the maintenance booking, and click the view button.


  1. On the left Panel of the Assets Module, click on the Booking History feature.

  1. The Asset's Booking History Window opens. Under the All tab, we can see the maintenance booking we created before.

Create a Maintenance Booking Schedule

  1. Click on Create a Schedule if you want recurring Maintenance Bookings. To illustrate this, we will block out all Sundays in March.
  2. Fill out the Maintenance Booking Schedule form:

  1. We have set the start date as the first Sunday at midnight and the end date as the last Sunday of the month, 31st March, at 23:59 am. After filling out the details, click Create.

You can view all scheduled maintenance bookings in the Schedules module.
