Ledger Hierachy: Booking Level

This article is for environments that have enabled the Ledger Module. If you're interested in setting this up in your back office, please contact the Product Team.

Users can also conveniently view payments due and received from various bookings in the Bookings view. They can perform the following actions in this view:

    1. Add Offline payments: Add any payments made in person, such as cash.
    2. Add charges: Add items to charge on a booking, such as winter tyres or tow charges.


Add Offline payments

  1. Go to the Bookings Tab in the Ledger Module and pick a transaction to add offline payments.

  1. Click the three-dotted (Action) button and choose " Add Offline Payment" from the dropdown.

  1. Fill up the fields in the Add Offline Payment Modal

  1. Click the "Add Payment" button after completing the details.

  1. A toast notification appears at the bottom of the screen. To exit, click anywhere outside the Add Offline Payment Modal.

  1. The Offline Payment entry can be seen on the 1st line of the Ledger under the Bookings Tab.

Additionally, the back office user can click the "Transactions Tab to view the Offline Payment entry.



Add Charge


  1. Go to the bookings tab in the ledger module and choose a transaction to apply a charge.

  1. Click the three-dotted (Action) button and choose " Add Charge" from the dropdown.

  1. Choose an Item to Charge from the dropdown. The user can either:
    • Enter a Gross Amount and click the Calculate button (located diagonally opposite) to display the Nett Amount,
    • or enter a Nett Amount and click the Calculate button to display the Gross Amount

Charges can be levied as a one-time charge (immediate) or a recurring charge (scheduled).

Scheduled charges will be discussed in another article.

  1. Fill in the Add Note/ Reference field and click the "Charge" button.

  1. Click "OK" on the confirmation Modal.

  1. A green toast notification appears at the bottom and on the Modal, confirming that the charge has been added.

  1. Click anywhere outside the Modal to exit. The charge can be seen in the Transactions Tab.
