Adding an additional voucher on an in progress booking
This feature allows Ops users to add an additional voucher to an in-progress booking. A common use case is when the Ops user wants to provide a further discount to a customer who has already received a discount when a physical asset was assigned in the approval modal, but whose booking is now in progress.
There are a few important conditions to keep in mind when using this functionality. The voucher being added must belong to a different voucher category than the one already applied to the booking, and both categories must be configured to allow interaction with each other.
This article walks you through how an Ops user can add a second voucher to an in-progress booking.
To enable voucher categories to interact with each other, please refer to this article.
The steps are as follows:
- Navigate to the Bookings module and click on any booking ID in the In progress Tab.
- Click on the booking ID to view the Booking details page.
- Scroll down and and click on the Basket symbol to open Billing Basket.
- Click on Edit Booking Voucher.
- The Edit Booking Voucher modal appears. Any existing voucher if used, can be seen here. To add an additional voucher, click on Add Voucher.
⚠️This feature will only work with vouchers from different categories, else an error message will appear on the screen.
- Select the voucher from the dropdown. The details of the voucher such as code and discount amount can be seen.
- Click Save Changes
- Click Update on the Update Vouchers modal.
A green toast notification can be seen and the newly added voucher is now visible in the billing basket.
