Introduction to Asset Management

This article will help you understand our vehicle management section of the back office.

As our system updates, so will this article and the following sections.

First, let's access the back office; we see the dashboard page, which gives you easy access to view and add new assets. To the left side, we see a panel with various modules that can be navigated seamlessly.

When we click the 'Assets' tab, we can see a table of assets with a toggle on top, allowing you to switch between Virtual and Physical assets.

A Virtual Asset visually represents physical assets that appear on the website. For example, you may have 50 i20s in your asset database, but an image (virtual asset) of an i20 on the website would mean you have i20s in your offering. Therefore, changes made to the virtual assets directly affect the website/showroom.

Physical assets are your real assets. They are the stock of assets that you currently have. The list of physical assets can be seen if you click the toggle on "Physical."

The Assets page contains a photo, the make, the model, the variant, the colour, visibility, and further options.

There are various features/ functionalities in this asset list, which we will go through in detail.

Asset Features

  1. Visibility toggle switch

The visibility toggle switch is present for virtual and physical assets, but its application is different.

When you toggle off a virtual asset, it gets removed from the website.

For example, if all of your i10s are booked out or unavailable for bookings, toggling off the i10 virtual asset will remove the i10 from being visible on your website.

In the case of a Physical asset, toggling it off would mean that the vehicle in your current stock is unavailable. This does not affect the website/showroom. For example, if you have 10 BMWs in your physical asset list, toggling one of them off does not affect the remaining 9 BMWs.

You can find more about turning an asset on and off here.

  1. View button

This button allows you to open and view the details of the asset.

  1. Other options

Furthermore, we also have various options that allow you to make changes to your asset, which will be discussed separately.

Finally, we are also able to sort by the sections at the top of the tabs, such as alphabetical order for the make, model, variant or colour:
